Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet
by Darynda Jones
Series: Charley Davidson #4
Publisher: St. Martin
Publication date: October 30, 2012

Buy Barnes and Noble /Amazon / Book Depository

Sometimes being the grim reaper really is that. Grim. And since Charley’s last case went so awry, she has taken a couple months off to wallow in the wonders of self-pity. But when a woman shows up on her doorstep convinced someone is trying to kill her, Charley has to force herself to rise above. Or at least get dressed. She quickly realizes something is amiss when everyone the woman knows swears she’s insane. The more they refute the woman’s story, the more Charley believes it.
In the meantime, the sexy, sultry son of Satan, Reyes Farrow, has been cleared of all charges. He is out of prison and out of Charley’s life, as per her wishes and several perfectly timed death threats. But his absence has put a serious crimp in her sex life. While there are other things to consider, like the fact that Albuquerque has been taken hostage by an arsonist, Charley is having a difficult time staying away. Especially when it looks like Reyes may be involved. Just when life was returning to normal, Charley is thrust back into the world of crime, punishment, and the devil in blue jeans.(synopsis from Goodreads)

OK, my coffee lovin' and book readin' peeps..If you haven't heard of this series you need to remedy that! The Charley Davidson series is one of the funniest urban fantasy series around. Filled with mystery, a grim-reaper and the son of Satan..it offers something everyone will enjoy. The protagonist Charley is fantastic and so is her quirky side-kick Cookie. I am anxiously awaiting this fourth novel! Here are my reviews of the last two novels; Second Grave on the Left and Third Grave Dead Ahead. The First novel is First Grave on the Right. I cannot wait to get my hands on this one!

What are you waiting on?

I know I've said as much on GR already, but yaaay! I'm reading the second one right now and I love that.. well, it's not too light, but also not the typical Woe Is Me-Urban Fantasy-kind of book. :)

I've heard of this series but haven't read any of them. A funny urban fantasy? Sounds pretty awesome! ;)

I have so never heard of this series before! I read some urban fantasy, but not a ton.

So, does it confuse you that urban fantasy seems to be an adult-only genre? It confuses me, because there is plenty of YA lit that is fantasy and urban, but I haven't seen that label applied to any lit that wasn't really kind of a romance. Random.

Anyway, I should check this out, only book one, because this one might not make sense!
